AUTONOMOUS CARS: what IS AI’s role in it?

AI ensuers the maximum safety in the city traffic conditions and also helps in very critical situations such as in rainy conditions ,in night time where humans hard to find the incoming threats on the road and collision points and other crucial detections while driving
