How Learning Coding Allows You to Adopt to Social Media That is Changing the World

It’s safe to say that most of us use social media. It’s really hard to escape it these days. Whether you like it or not, social media is changing and affecting our everyday lives. Because of that, it’s important for us to understand how exactly social media works. Like almost everything these days, social media is run on code. There are various people behind your favorite social media apps like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, who work on and manage it everyday so that the best possible user experience is provided. So it goes without saying that the best way to understand social media and its effect on the world is by learning to code.

Your favorite social media also runs on an algorithm. An algorithm is a process or a set of rules to be followed to perform something. You’ve probably heard of the YouTube algorithm and people trying to find out how it works. How exactly does YouTube recommend its videos? How does a video get really popular? The only way you can really find out is by learning to code and getting on the YouTube team and help develop the software for YouTube. Algorithms are used in every social media platform, so by understanding how an algorithm of one app works, you would have a pretty good idea of how the algorithm for another works.

So as you can see, coding and social media go hand in hand. Social media is having a huge effect on the world and is changing it everyday. And in the 21st century, you can’t really go anywhere without learning how to code. So that’s why it’s important to learn how to code, because it can help you understand the things around you and how they are shaping our ever-changing world.
